Waterside Restaurant & Wine Bar, Happy Hour – March 25, 2018 – Oxnard, CA.

My friend Gale had me meet her here for a fun filled happy hour listening to musician, singer, songwriter – Sean Wiggins, play some pretty fierce music.

I had contacted the manager about doing a tasting but didn’t hear back from him. When I went to speak with him he apologized and said he would send a few appetizers out to me.

This is what I tried:

Feta Delight lightly breaded, honey, sesame seeds. Almost like a dessert but a great appetizer item.

Fried Pita Chips with 3 different dips. All of the dips are differed and the chips are not oily; I just loved this.

Moussaka, layers of potatoes, eggplant, zucchini, fresh herbs, ground beef and pork, nutmeg, and Béchamel sauce. Its time to indulge your taste buds and this dish does the trick. Really fantastic, one of the best Moussaka’s ever!

The food was great and the ambiance is even better. Tony said I should come back and do a real tasting with all of the menu items; stay tuned.
