As a publicist I have had many GRAMMY® nominees. This year I had 3 great artists. Siddhant Bhatia, Singer – Composer – Earning his first GRAMMY® Nomination. Best Global Music Album, “Sounds of Kumbha.” Eric Gales, Blues King – Provogue Recording Artist, GRAMMY® Nomination – Best Contemporary Blues Album, “A Tribute To LJK.” Eric is part of the soundtrack for the film “Sinners”, it got nominated for 6 GRAMMYS® and 16 Oscars this year. And Charu Suri GRAMMY® Nomination, Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, “Shayan” – and co-producer for “Sounds of Kumbha”, in the Global Music Album Category.
This was a crazy week, with many highlights. There are so many events, gift suites, Merit Awards, Medal Ceremonies, everything for GRAMMY® week. I think my most enjoyable meeting was with Bernie Taupin, seeing that I am a die-hard Elton John fan. He was so kind and easy to talk to. Of course, Sylvia Rhone, Chairperson of Epic Records – was also very inspirational. I was able to invite my other clients to come and join in on the fun: Luca & Claudette, with their Hit Breakout Single, “You Are My Destiny.” They had never experienced something so exciting here in Hollywood.
Each year I get to go and be part of all the Hoop-LaLa, and people are always so envious. But I have to say most do not know what does into securing all of this for 1 client, I had a total of 4. It’s very time consuming, really a lot of work. Bottom line – yes, I do love it – but it’s hard work. GRAMMY® day I am at the venue at 10:00 am and do not leave sometimes until 12:00 am.
The photos are an encapsulation of the whole week and all of the events with clients and super stars, enjoy!
