The Shout House – Rock ‘N Roll Dueling Pianos – September 15, 2014

I am going to have to come back and try the food, so this review will be short and sweet.

There is so much activity happening in the Gaslamp Quarter, nite clubs, live music, comedy, and things in between. But this place has a completely different concept. Exciting dueling pianos with both players taking requested from the very rowdy adult audience. So you can dance, sing, drink and be very merry. It’s like Disneyland for adults, and the adults come in all ages, shapes and sizes. But one thing they all have in common, they came here to PARTY!!

It is a big open space, brick wall on one side, lots of tables, with a stage on one side of the rectangular room. It is a very enticing atmosphere that makes you want to get up and shout, there are no wallflowers allowed. It really brings everyone together. It’s great for special events, birthday parties, and holiday parties. There is total audience participation, no one is sitting idle. They sing everything from Great Balls of Fire to Don’t Stop Believin’. A lot of the songs are piano driven, duh, but then there are those that are not. If you want to hear Elton John, Journey, Billy Joel, Jerry Lee Lewis, Abba, then you have come to the right place. So grab your friend and your vocal cords and come sing your heart out, you will be glad you did.
